The Herd Salt and Sand Spreaders by Kasco Mfg. are rugged enough for heavy duty ice control. Whether for personal or commercial use, the Herd Spreaders are ideal for parking lots, driveways, or sidewalks of any size.

Our unique agitator system ensure positive feed of all materials—even wet or frozen sand. This allows you to spread material that has been stored outside as well as bagged material.

Three sizes of PTO powered spreaders are available:

• Model 5.5 holds 550# of wet sand, or 5.5 cubic feet of material
• Model 750S holds 1200# of wet sand, or 12 cubic feet of material
• Model 1200S holds 2000# of wet sand, or 20 cubic feet of material

These machines are also available as hydraulically driven. An optional electric actuator allows the operator to close the seed gate from the tractor’s cab.

The model 750SSS is a skid-steer mounted salt/sand spreader. It uses the same rugged frame as the 3-point models, with convenient hitching to most late-model skid steer loaders. It is hydraulically driven, with a valve for variable spread with.
