The Herd Salt and Sand Spreaders by Kasco Mfg. are rugged enough for heavy duty ice control. Whether for personal or commercial use, these implements are ideal for parking lots, driveways or sidewalks of any size.

Our unique agitator system ensures positive feed of all materials—including sand (wet or dry), salt and calcium chloride. This allows you to spread material that has been stored outside as well as bagged material.

PTO Powered Salt/Sand Spreader

Three sizes of PTO powered, 3-point hitch spreaders are available:

• Model 5.5 holds 550 pounds of wet sand or 5.5 cubic feet of material
• Model 750S holds 1200 pounds of wet sand or 12 cubic feet of material
• Model 1200S holds 2000 pounds of wet sand or 20 cubic feet of material

Key Features:

• Can easily spread material that’s dry, wet or frozen, and stored outside or as bagged material.
• Available as hydraulically driven.
• Optional: Electric actuator allows the operator to close the seed gate from the tractor cab.

Skid Steer Mounted Salt/Sand Spreader

We also offer the skid steer mounted 750SSS model. Using the same frame and unique agitator system as the 3-point models, it offers convenient hitching to most late-model skid steer loaders while also offering the most effective method of spreading any combination of material. It’s ideal for the efficient deicing of parking lots, driveways and sidewalks of any size.
